  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over a medium-low heat.
  2. Add the walnuts and cook until golden, stirring often. Transfer the walnuts to a plate to cool. Wipe the saucepan clean to use again.
  3. Put 1½ tablespoons of milk and the cornflour in a small bowl. Whisk together and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining milk, honey, double cream and cinnamon to the saucepan. Heat over a medium heat, stirring often with a whisk or spatula. Cook until it boils, then take off the heat.
  5. Add the cornflour mixture to the pan and whisk until combined and thickened. Whisk in the walnuts, vanilla and orange blossom water (if using).
  6. Pour the base into a Creami pint. Put the lid on and freeze for 24 hours.
  7. Press: ICE CREAM Take the pint out of the freezer, remove the lid, lock it into the outer bowl with the paddle lid, place it on the machine and select ice cream.
  8. Serve straight away.

We add up the nutrition in each ingredient, using standard food data from the US Department of Agriculture's FoodData Central (and typical packet values where it has no match, such as UK double cream), then divide by the 4 servings this recipe makes. Brands vary, so treat it as a guide. Optional extras and the liquid you top up with before spinning aren't counted.
