Ninja Creami milkshake guide

A thick milkshake needs only ice cream, milk and the milkshake program. Get the ratio right and everything else is flavour.

The formula

350 ml (1½ cups) ice cream + 120 ml (½ cup) milk in an empty pint, then run the milkshake program.

  • Dairy, dairy-free and lite ice cream all work, and so do whole milk, skimmed milk, dairy-free milk or coffee creamer.
  • For mix-ins, make a hole about 4 cm (1½ inches) wide down to the bottom of the pint and pour the milk and mix-ins into it before you process.
  • For the thickest shake, process ice cream straight from the freezer.
  • For a thinner shake, add 1 to 2 tbsp milk and use re-spin. Mix-ins may sink in thin shakes.
  • Any ice cream recipe can become a shake: process it on ice cream first, then make the hole, add milk and mix-ins and run the milkshake program.
